Field notes Tree 8 m x 5 m. Some nearby specimens to c. 20 m high. Buds reddish, hypanthium green. Fruits grey brown. Bark thick and fibrous, to small branches, grey outside, red/brown underneath.

Supplied as "Low lying area in gently undulating country. Open forest with Eucalyptus sp (stringybark) in lower ground and E. fibrosa in slightly higher ground. Dense shrub layer with Melaleuca nodosa, Leptospermum polygalifolium, L. trinervium, Astrotricha longifolia, Banksia spinulosa, Lomandra longifolia, Callistemon rigidus, Hakea sericea, Dillwynia sp, Isopogon anemonifolius. Deep mid grey sand."
