| Occurrence remarks | Small forb to 20 cms. Leaves elliptic with a toothed margin, discolorous with adaxial surface green and abaxial surface whitish and hairy. Capitulum purple and ending in terminal heads. |

Supplied as "Exposed Tinderry granite outcrop. Vegetation community largely confined to gravelly and humusy fissures between the granite facies. Mainly dominated by Phebalium squamulosum subsp. ozothamnoides, Prostanthera phylicifolia, Platysace lanceolata, Philotheca myoporoides, Micrantheum hexandrum, Acacia costiniana, Cheilanthes sp., and Olearia montana. Large amounts of the community killed by the summer of 2019-2020." |
