Occurrence remarks Locally frequent (100s over about 0.5 square metres at this location, also present in many other location on the property) herb to 55 cm high. Stems arising from a thickened root. Leaves alternate to almost opposite, mid green, linear to oblinear with small white marginal callus teeth. Sepals about 2 mm long. Corolla blue above, much paler below, tube to 1 mm long, lobes 6–10 mm long; stigma white with 3 ovate lobes. Capsule 4–5 mm long, 3.5–4 mm wide.

Supplied as "Landform: low ridge. Substrate: granite. Soil: grey brown sand. Vegetation: Eucalyptus albens Benth. and Callitris glaucophylla Joy Thomps. & L.A.S.Johnson woodland with grass and herb understorey of Chrysocephalum apiculatum (Labill.) Steetz, Cheilanthes sieberi Kunze subsp. sieberi, Verbascum virgatum Stokes,Hydrocotyle laxiflora DC., Trifolium arvense L. and Rumex brownii Campd.; two other Wahlenbergia species growing within 10 m of the collection area, one being Wahlenbergia planiflora P.J.Sm. subsp. longipila Carolin ex P.J.Sm. and the other not determined to species. "
