Occurrence remarks Spreading shrub to 1.8 m. Stems, petioles and leaves deep purblish-red. Leaves paler below with red veins. Most plants with soft, lush, purple new growth. Several plants appear more spindly and woody with more conspicuous stipular or axillary prickles (BMW8276B). Leaves mostly palmately 5-lobed, but some 1-3 lobed. Inflorescences axillary. Perianth 5-lobed, glandular. Remnant plants. Growing with other varieties of manihot esculenta. Collected for DNA comparison with BMW8275 and BMW8276B. Shrub
