| Occurrence remarks | Herb with hairy stems and leaves; fruit with 2 obvious spines (unlike most others of this species obsevred which had typical 3). Indumentum colour, size of fruit and base with small circular hollow fit this species. c.f. Sclerolaena eriacantha which has oblique long hollow at base of fruit. |
