Occurrence remarks Rare, 2-10 plants (20 x 20 m quadrat). Tall sedge, 20-30 cm tall; leaves triquetrous, scabrous, shorter than culms (though sometimes equal in length), flat, the sheaths lacerated (light brown); inflorescence a terminal spike, 3-5 cm long, primary axis oftern interrupted. Specimen no. 35.

Locality Tambar Mountain (on private property "Brooklyn"), 2.1 km NNE of Tambar Trig, c. 2.4 km NW of Tambar Springs township.
Habitat From an open depression (stream channel) within a hills landform pattern, growing in a sand associated with a sandstone substrate (Pilliga Sandstone). Within an Angophora floribunda very tall woodland (c. 33 m tall, with an understorey (30%) of 17 m high A. floribunda with Callitris endlicheri) [see attached sheet for list of associated species]. Site in excellent condtion due to very high diversity of taxa within the ground layer, low weed invasion, regeneration in all layers, healthy trees and excellent structural integrity. Large boulders and surface rock 30% cover.
