| Occurrence remarks | Forms almost mat-like cover. Erect to slightly lax annual with many stems and shallow fine roots, to 30 cm high. Leaves reduced to basal sheathing maroon-red papery bracts. Flowers: terminal, sessile, 2 to 6 flattened spikelets, buff-coloured with reddish-brown markings [Specimen not found - J.R.Hosking 1 April 2016] |
