Event
Occurrence date | 1989-04-01 |
Event remarks | Abundance - 0.3% coverage after rain 1989, 0.012% coverage in drought December 1992 Dominated by eroding edges of low sandstone, quartzite and conglomerate tablelands, where massive boulders break away from cliffs and fall onto terraces. The terrace habitat extended 120m from the edge of the mesa plateau, but was mostly confined to the SE of the plateau covering 370m in length. High plant biomass abd boulders provided shelter from the sun and wind. Seeps from the hill above, caves and high humidity elevated the general plant water content. Relatively high plant species diversity. |
