Field notes Succulent shrub to 40 cm high. Stems pale yellowish and enlarged where leaves are, or were, present. Leaves deeply V-shaped, green to greenish yellow inside the V, pale yellow-brown with darker brown blotches on outer surface; on an obvious yellow petiole. No evidence of inflorescences seen although many seedling plants are growing in the area.

Occurrence remarks Locally frequent (c. 100 plants in collection area, also seen in a number of other areas throughout the Lightning Ridge opal fields but not as common as either Bryophyllum delagoense (Eckl. & Zeyh.) Schinz (J. R. Hosking 2337 & W. Schofield) or B. daigremontianum x B. delagoense (J. R. Hosking 2344) (in most cases Bryophyllum species are growing in clumps of one species or the hybrid rather than in mixed stands)).
