Field notes Perennial, rhizomatous, colonial herb, with scapes to to 17 cm high. Leaves grey-green, more or less concolorous. Scapes light green to mid green. Involucral bracts green. Disc florets yellow, ligulate florets mauve. The vast majority of plants are in seed, a few still in bud and flower.

Occurrence remarks Colonies of varying size scattered over an area of ca. 190 x 100 metres. Thousands of scapes present. Favourable habitat present on both sides of the plain which is divided by a tributary, but plants were only seen on east side. Site grazed by cattle and horses. About 100 'plants' sampled for the Victorian Conservation Seedbank.
