Occurrence remarks Locally rare tree to ~7m. Only 3 large trees still alive at this location within ~100m of cliff line, with 1 juvenile and 1 seedling/sucker seen. Plants currently putting on new growth where foliage still remains due to dry conditions negating rust impact. Trees with >60% crown defoliation. Cuttings taken from 3 trees.

Supplied as "Mossy cloud thicket among subtropical rainforest on cliff face of major escarpment. Trees above cliff on steep, S facing scree slope among boulders and low cliff line. With Abrophyllum ornans, Tristaniopsis collina, Leucopogon sp Lamington, Sarcochilus fitzgeraldii, many ferns. Soils slay loam on basalt. Plants heavily affected by myrtle rust."
