Field notes | Tufted herb with erect flowering stem 0.7 m tall. Corms pale beneath a membranous brown outer layer. Base of plant red. Leaves darkish green on both sides. Bracts green. Tepals white to very pale pink externally and internally, the three 'lower' tepals with dark purplish markings internally. |

Occurrence remarks | At the time of collection, a single plant seen in flower - in subsequent weeks, several clusters of flowering plants seen along track and in the adjacent bushland. Also noted flowering in a garden in nearby Valley Road, which may be the source of this naturalisation. |
