Field notes Single or up to 5 individuals clumped together. Stipe 4-5 cm high, 15-25 mm wide, stout, solid, no veil or volva, not punctate, no glands. Cap 5-15 cm wide, initially more or less dome-shaped when young, becoming more or less infundibuliform & irregularly-shaped when mature. Cap with central depression or short umbo. Cuticle viscid to slimy when wet, cinnamon or ochre-brown. Dissepiments radial, uneven. Flesh intially off-white, becoming pale-yellow with age, yellow at base of stipe. Spores brown.
