Organism remarks Fruiting in soil amongst leaf litter. Fruitbody: 35 mm dia. Spherical, yellow with brown appressed scales. Flesh white tinted yellow and stains pink-brown when cut. Peridium 1.5 mm thick. Basal mass of tissue extends 35 mm into soil. This mass is light yellow in colour. Spore Mass: solid (this specimen still immature), grey but stains purple almost instantly when cut.
Occurrence remarks Undulating plain; bare to littered loose dry brown clay loam; burnt 25 December 1997.
