Occurrence remarks Binjour State Forest, Binjour plateau; NE of Mundubbera. Semi-evergreen vinethicket with bottle trees, Backhousia kingii, Flindersia collina, ? flat top of scarp edge, red krasnozem soil derived from laterised basalt flow. Tree to 6m tall; foliage coriaceous, flexible, dark green and glossy above, paler and matt below with prominent domatia; fruit woody capsular, pink inside; seeds glossy, black. Very common at locality.
