Occurrence remarks Occasional (4 seen) small tree to 6 m high. Bark on trunk grey and in small chunks, newer bark grey and smooth. Leaves mid green, surfaces concolorous. Fruit brown, hairy, some with style still present, surrounded by 5 persistent brown sepals.

Supplied as "Plain. Grey clay. Growing in Eucalyptus populnea F.Muell. subsp. bimbil L.A.S.Johnson & K.Hill woodland with scattered small trees of this species, Alectryon oleifolius (Desf.) S.T.Reynolds subsp. elongatus S.T.Reynolds (J.R.Hosking 2569) and Allocasuarina luehmannii (R.T.Baker) L.A.S.Johnson and many herbs and grasses including Austrostipa aristiglumis (F.Muell.) S.W.L.Jacobs & J.Everett, Cyperus bifax C.B.Clarke, Carex inversa R.Br., a number of chenopods, Panicum buncei F.Muell. ex Benth., Chloris truncata R.Br., Eriochloa pseudoacrotricha (Stapf ex Thell.) J.M.Black and Enteropogon acicularis (Lindl.) Lazarides."
