Occurrence remarks The collected tree's bole is 7 metres south of the edge. Its branches all slope uphill and the crown is no more than about 4.8 metres high. Donated to CANB in March 2008.

Locality Cape Barren Island, Bass Strait. About 440 metres at 178.5 degrees from the summit of Big Hill. Forming the northern edge of the southern patch of remnant rainforest understorey of the hill.
Habitat
Supplied as "The other nearby shrubs are {Bedfordia arboescens}, {Pomaderris apetala}, {Melaleuca ericifolia}, {Notelaea ligustrina}, {Pittosproum bicolor} and smaller {Leptecophylla} bushes. The local eucalypts (probably {Eucalyptus globulus} subsp. {globulus}) are all-dead, prone boles (to 1.2 m diameter) and were killed >60 years ago."
