Occurrence remarks Occasional (in this area – 6 flowering in around 100 square metres – but some not flowering in the same area) herb to 5 cm high. Plants with taproot and thickened roots at nodes. Stems with antrorse appressed white hairs. Leaf margins with antrorse white hairs, rest usually glabrous. Sepals 5, green with white appressed antrorse hairs. Petals 5, butter yellow on adaxial surface and paler yellow with a tinge of red on the abaxial surface. Stamens 10, of varying length, filaments pale green, anthers covered in yellow pollen. Styles 5, pale green, stigmas with small spreading arms and also pale green.
