Field notes | Herb to 50 cm high. Stems and lower surface of leaves with long spreading white hairs, upper leaf surface varying from glabrous to having long spreading white hairs. Lower leaves often with 3 lobes towards the apex. Flower heads to 1 cm wide, ray florets mauve to 4 mm long and 0.7 mm wide; disk florets with upper parts brown-yellow and with 5 brown-yellow lobes. Cypselas hairy all over with longer hairs at the base, all hairs white, cypsela surface brown. |
