Local government area Flinders (M)
Locality Flinders Island, Furneaux Group, Bass Straits. Western slope of Stanley's Point. About 375 metres just E of S of the top of Stanley's Point.
Habitat On the much burnt slope c. 60 m NW of the crest, formed by lime sand blown in from the west. From a heavily browsed L. affinis amongst dense wind-formed Leptospermum laevigatum (to 75 cm, c. 60%), Bayeria lechenaultii (c. 5%), one Leucopogon parviflorus, one Myoporum insulare and a shorter, densely-browsed L. affinis. Austrostipa stipoides is spindly in the dense growth. Eutaxia microphylla, browsed to dense, low mounds, was noted just east. Galium compactum was recorded also.
