Occurrence remarks Locally common (>100) sedge to 1.7 m high. Culms triangular. Culms and leaves mid green. Spikelets initially green, older ones brown with green edges. Heads initially compact, spreading with age. Involucral bracts 3, each a different length, to 35 cm long. Silica gel material also collected for J. J. Bruhl (NE).
