Organism remarks Pileus 54 mm diameter, 10 mm thick, buff (5B3), plane with depressed centre, margin not appendiculate, surface slightly tacky, context white. Universal veil on pileus white as a large submembranous patch in centre of disc. Lamellae ivory B (pale 4A2), adnexed, to 6 mm broad, subcrowded, margin concolorous, fimbriate, lamellulae attenuate, frequent. Stipe 85 mm long, 13 mm wide, white, with scurfy scales below annulus; bulb 38 mm long, 25 mm wide, ovoid with pointed base; annulus superior, white, descendant, membranous; context white, solid becoming hollow. Universal veil at stipe base, with a thin white limb to 20 mm. Spore white. Spores [20/1] ex print, mean: 9.65 x 7.3 microns, Q = 1.29, range: (8-) 8.5-10 (-11) x (6.5) 7-8 microns, Q: (1.14-) 1.19-1.38 (-1.45), amyloid. Basidia [20/1] (36-) 40-54 (-58) x 10-11 (-12) microns. Universal veil on the pileus, of dominant filamentous hyphae and infrequent ovoid and clavate inflated cells. Universal veil at the stipe base of dominant filamentous hyphae and very infrequent ovoid and clavate inflated cells. Clamp connections not seen.
