Occurrence remarks | NT226M Largest specimen to c.12cm diam., normal size of specimen c. 8cm diam. Fruiting body developing underground (grass) erupting through soil. Turbinate in shape, peridium cream coloured, splitting to expose white gleba which changes colour to purplish black or brown. Common in lawn of oval forming fairy rings. |
