Habitat Damp, loam, east facing creek-bank, about 1 m high (part of the bank of the west branch of Narrina Creek). Soil: Dark brown, damp, clayey loam. Scattered shrubs of Flueggea virosa ssp. melanthesoides and Acacia trachycarpa over Cenchrus ciliaris, Cenchrus setigerus , Triodia pungens mixed tussock, hummock grassland. Flueggea virosa ssp. melanthesoides < 1%; Acacia trachycarpa < 1%; Triodia pungens 15%; Cenchrus ciliaris 20%; Cenchrus setigerus = 1%. Associated annuals: Cyperus iria, Crotalaria medicaginea
