Occurrence remarks Shrub 1 m high. Plant with milky sap and hollow stems. Leaves dark green above and paler below, leaves immediately below the inflorescence are reddish-pink at the base. The source of this plant was a small plant collected from Toolakea near Townsville, Queensland. Reportedly a common species naturalised in scrub in that area. Sid Russell was concerned about this species as it was spreading in his garden
