Field notes | Stems, leaves and calyx glandular. Ray florets with ligule 12-23 mm long, white above with purple base, and white and purple below with darker purple longitudinal veins curved and joining at the apex. Disc florets purple, 5-lobed, anthers purple-black with yellow pollen. Achenes not formed by inner florets, achenes from outer florets 3-angled and wrinkled between angles. |

Occurrence remarks | About 20 shrubs, including many young shrubs, to 80 cm high in collection area. Also one large shrub 1.5 m high at 31 04 54 S 150 56 50 E, elsewhere in Park (this shrub has not set seed although it has flowered). |
