Occurrence remarks | Herb to 1.35 m high. Florets all ligulate, opening from the outside of the flower heads first. Outer ligules 8-10 mm long, ends of all ligules with 5 prominent teeth. Bracts glabrous except for very short cottony weak hairs. Nysius vinitor Bergroth and Nysius clevelandensis Evans (Hemiptera: Lygaeidae) on many heads. Also about 1000 plants growing in ungrazed woodland on a south facing slope, between the old road and the new road, north of the entrance to Woodsreef mine buildings. |
