Occurrence remarks Culms erect, cylindrical, green; rachis, pedicels and fruits also green; stigmas translucent white to purple; anthers yellow. Leaves erect with tips outcurved a little, emergent, green, flattened in transverse section at the extremities but broadening basally until almost semi-cylindrical with rounded corners when just above the top of the sheath; sheaths broad, near-overlapping to overlapping just below the sheath apex, overlapping lower down. Collection cited in Muelleria 8: 85-97 (1993).
