Dataset / Survey name [PERTH AVH data]
Organism remarks 1. purple-violet pileus margin and young hymenium; 2. hymenium of labyrinthine pores; 3. upper surface concentrically zoned; 4. fruitbodies in overlapping and fusing clusters on bark of living E. decipiens. Pileus: semicircular, irregular shelf, long narrow inter-joining wavy shelf-like shapes; individual pilei up to 35 x 1 - 2 mm thick and projecting up to 10 - 15 mm from the substrate. Attachment to substrate: sessile, along most of the length of the fruitbodies. Upper surface: irregularly fibrillose due to appressed (probably innate fibrils and matted fibrils), concentrically zoned; zones defined by either slightly raised ring of fibrils and surface and- or different colours eg. greenish due to algae (mostly closer to attachment), cinnamon brown (near 6D8) mostly near the pileus margin and yellowish cream (near 4B4). Margin: thick and blunt, entire, matted fibrillose (on upper surface) smooth below, purple-violet (near 16E4). Hymenium: poroid - labyrinthine pattern due to irregular of elongate shaped pores, concolourous with pileus margin entirely when young, then dull brown (near 6E5) except near margin when mature; tubes shallow (less than 1 mm long); pores absent near pileus margin. Consistency: leathery, tough. Flesh: dark, dull brown. Mycelium in wood: white, associated with a white rot. Spore print: white Macrochemical Tests: 15% KOH: no reaction on the purple hymeniuim Mode of Life: saprophytic Odour: none.
