Occurrence remarks A single plant, spreading c. 1 m across. The plant had accumulated just as much sand as the Cakile plants, and only the end of the branches were coming through. After flowering the heads bend down and become buried under sand. Roots develop on buried stems, mostly in axils, but also seemingly randomly along the stems.
