Locality Site number: 669. 6.6 km south-south-east of West Angela Hill, Hamersley Ranges, Fortescue Botanical District.
Supplied as "Margin between an area of Mulga woodland and an open area. Very gently sloping. Almost flat. Soil: Bright red-brown cracking clay with some pebbles. Acacia aneura (flat, curved; MET 15,548) high shrubland over Cassia luerssenii, Eremophila lachnocalyx and Cassia oligophylla x. open shrubland over Astrebla pectinata and Sida fibulifera low open shrubland with Triodia pungens very open hummock grassland. Acacia aneura (flat, curved; MET 15,548) 3.5-5 m < 5-15%; Astrebla pectinata 50-60 cm < 1%; Cassia luerssenii 1-1.5 m < 1% (2); Eremophila lachnocalyx 1-1.5 m 1-2%; Sida fibulifera 15-20 cm 1-2%; Cassia oligophylla x. 1-2 m; Triodia pungens 30-60 cm (0) < 5-10%. Site includes the edge of the mulga and one open patch of cracking clay with no Astrebla pectinata and a drier, more pebbly, slightly raised area. The Streptoglossa cylindriceps was on the latter area. The Enneapogon caerulescens var. occidentalis was abundant on parts of the drier area. The cracking clay had Rhynchosia cf. minima, Sida fibulifera and annual grasses, with a border of Astrebla pectinata grassland. The dry area was similar to most of the mulga edge (Acacia aneura (flat, curved; MET 15,548) over Eremophila lachnocalyx, Cassia spp. open shrubland over Triodia pungens open hummock grassland). On the edge the mulga part. On the drier area. Associated annuals: Ptilotus carinatus, Sclerolaena cornishiana, Indigofera trita, Phyllanthus maderaspatensis var. angustifolius, Oldenlandia sp. 'gilgai', Sida spinosa, Iseilema vaginiflorum, Euphorbia coghlanii, Hibiscus trionum var. vesicarius, Haloragis gossei, Salsola kali, Dichanthium sericeum ssp. humilius, Streptoglossa cylindriceps, Ptilotus aervoides, Eragrostis tenellula, Enneapogon caerulescens var. occidentalis, Sporobolus australasicus, Heliotropium conocarpum, Aristida contorta, Ptilotus exaltatus, Portulaca oleracea, Panicum laevinode, Euphorbia australis (mid-green form), Enneapogon caerulescens var. occidentalis, Ptilotus carinatus, Calocephalus sp. Wittenoom (A.S. George 1082). Associated perennials: Striga squamigera, Tephrosia supina, Vigna lanceolata var. latifolia, Goodenia muelleriana, Neptunia dimorphantha, Eragrostis xerophila, Rhagodia eremaea, Eremophila lachnocalyx, Acacia tetragonophylla, Acacia synchronicia, Cassia hamersleyensis, Cassia sp.
