Field notes Stem erect. Leaves erect within the water but bending at the water surface (without rising above it) so the distal portion floats flat on the surface. Blade (floating portion) dark glossy green above, paler cream-green and matt beneath. Sheaths fairly narrow for form C. Blades thinly plano- convex below, flat distally. Only one stem (late fruits) found, remainder of plants vegetative.
