Occurrence remarks Very conspicuous, large, canopy tree to 27m tall with flaky bark; fruit not fully ripe, rusty coloured, single, ovate, flat pods. Common. Well-developed riparian rainforest on alluvial sand; in association with Buchanania arborescens, Mallotus philippensis, Lagerstroemia archeriana, Syzygium bamagense, Elaeocarpus arnhemicus, Terminalia sericocarpa, Ficus drupacea, Diospyros calycantha and Canarium australianum; shrub layer of Cleistanthus peninsularis, Strychnos lucida, Mallotus polyadenos and Toechima daemelianum.
