Occurrence remarks Locally common (>100) shrub to 60 cm high. Upper stems yellow brown with spreading white hairs. Leaves appressed, dark green to yellowish green and white hairy. Flowers yellow with reddish base (inside and out) to keel, lateral petals also red.

Habitat 0-40 degree slopes. Serpentinite substrate. Stony and sandy brown loam. Eucalyptus sp. aff. macrorhyncha (like J.R.Hosking 1472, T.L.Hosking & G.R.Hosking) woodland with the understorey dominated by Triodia scariosa N.T.Burb. subsp. scariosa and with Exocarpos cupressiformis Labill. as the most common shrub.
