| Occurrence remarks | Leaves to 6 m long, vertical, glossy bronze/green. Membraneous scales attached to midrib on underside of pinnae and leaf bases expanded and fleshy, containing many air spaces. Blackish coloured fruit clusers 2 feet or more in diam. on short scope becoming pendulous, blackish coloured. Nuts generally 5 angled many in globose capitate head. 3 sheets. Tip of leaf lost in transit. Voucher for seed acc. no. 6683. |
