Organism remarks | Fruiting in moss. Fruitbody: 20-25 mm tall, 9-23 mm wide, ±/- funnel shaped to irregularly shaped elongate lobed 'protrusions' from moss. Not hollow, indentation lasting for c. 2-3 mm. Apex, or lip, of funnel brown, followed by a white concentric zone, followed by a yellow zone, gradually blending into a bright orange-yellow. Flesh brown with yellow tinge. Surface: dry and extremely smooth with minute hirsute fibrils - suede-like. Mid part of fruit body speckled with transluscent orange-brown "spots"; some raised (faintly). Odour: strong mushroom. |
