Field notes | Erect, annual herb, with several, fibrous, whitish roots. Stems green or reddish near base. No basal rosette formed. Stems glossy, with elongated papillae. Leaves mid-green, lower surface paler, both surfaces dull or only slightly with a gloss. Leaf petiole and major nerves glossy. Leaves when chewed have a lovely horseradish scent and taste. Sepals green. Petals 1.5-2.3 mm long, white, with greenish bases. Stamens six, filaments creamish/greenish-white, anthers pale-yellow. ovary & stigma green. |
