Occurrence remarks | Occasional (one group of 3 and another of 2 shrubs seen) sprawling shrub to 50 cm high. Stems with appressed white hairs. Leaves green, concolorous, incurved, 1-2 mm wide, to 11 mm long, mucro present,. scattered white hairs on lower surface and on margins. Black scale insects with white 'skirt' common on leaves. Inflorescences of >7 flowers that are terminal on main and side branches. Bracts imbricate, 3-lobed at apex. Flowers pea-like, orange-yellow and red, 6-8 mm long; stamens free, ovary hairy to base when viewed in flower but if removed not hairy to the base, hairs to 1.5 mm long. Calyx 3.5-4 mm long with appressed white hairs,. bracteoles c. 2 mm long and attached to side of calyx. Early pods hairy. |
