Field notes herb to 20cm high. Rooting at nodes along spreading stems. Plants emitting a soapy smaell when crushed. Stems pale green with numerous simple white hairs. Leaves green, glabrous, sessile. Flowers on short pedicels in leaf axils. Sepals 5, 3 glabrous and heart-shaped and 2 almost linear and hairy. Corolla blue, tubular at base and 5-lobed with 2 lobes almost completely joined.
