Occurrence remarks Average height 5.26, Standard Dev, 0.20, Max 5.64, Min height 4.94. Upper surface woolly, pale at base silken with appressed hairs and zonations of brown-lavender and white to edge. Margin smooth or scalloped, violet to lavender. Underside fine lacerate pores clay pink to lavender at margin, fade to buff with age. Dissepiments deeply lacerate tooth like. Fruit bodies: clavate to fan shaped, attachment 8-12mm across with no stipe: some more broadly attached . FB occur in masses of tiers over 1 year becoming pale and tinged green with algae. FBs 20-50mm wide x 30-40mm deep ca 1mm thick. Spore print white. Spores elongate cylindrical inamyloid, smooth av. 5.5 x 2.5-3µm, Qav 1.93, Spore range: 5-5.6 x 2.5-3µm, Q 1.76 ,Qmax 2.07.
