Field notes Pileus: dimensions 25–50 mm diameter, shape convex to more plane and broadly umbonate, colour pale/cream/white with dark brown scales/fine-squamules more concentrated in the centre (similar to Lepiota fuliginosa), surface dry. Hymenophore: Lamellae pale pink in young sporing body (faded over time) and pale-grey-brown in more mature sporing body, attachment free, crowded and thin. Stipe: dimensions 70–80 mm high, 5–6 mm diameter, shape equal to slightly wider at base, position central, colour white-pale, volva absent, membranous annulus present (not moveable). Odour: mushroomy not distinctive. Habit: scattered, solitary mostly. Spore print: mid-chocolate-brown.
