Occurrence remarks Clumped grass with erect clums to c. 1 m tall. Leaves slightly scabrous. Inflorescence a narrow cylindrical panicle with multiple branches containing tightly packed florets and pale bristles. Grains maturing golden brown. Probably cultivated as a grain or forage millet. Single plant observed growing as a weed of chia crop. Collected as part of the Northern Australia Quarantine Strategy.
