Locality Dollar, c. 9 - 10 km (straight line measurement) NNW of Foster, Rumbug district, South Gippsland.
Habitat
Supplied as "Plants growing in 1 man-made dam, with Nymphaea and Ceratophyllum, where first found 25 years ago. Presumably planted there deliberately. Permanent water 2 - 3 ft [0.6 - 0.9 m] deep over 3 ft [0.9 m] deep black mud. The dam is fenced off from cattle. Cabomba has not spread to other 9 dams in the series of 10; the other 9 have cattle access. Area has ice and snow for 2 or 3 days in winter."
