Occurrence remarks Locally common (>100 plants in collection area, also present elsewhere in the Reserve) woody herb to 7 cm high. Plants with a long white taproot. Leaves dark green and glabrous above, grey-green and mealy below. Male flowers with 5 spreading stamens, filaments whitish-yellow widening towards the base to form a ring, anthers pale yellow. Fruiting bracteoles with numerous projections on both faces and towards the base on the edges.
