Locality Cape Barren Island, Bass Strait. About 1.550 kms at 221.25 degrees from Big Hill's summit. On the south-western spur of Big Hill.
Habitat
Supplied as "Burnt on 24 October 2006. The dominant layer is eucalypts, to 7.2 m, that tillered after the prior fire. {Eucalyptus ambigua} is the major species, {E. globulus} subsp. {globulus} the minor. Two larger {E. globulus} subsp. {globulus}, to 75 cms diameter, were killed several fires previously. The main understorey on 24 October 2006 was {Allocasuarina verticillata}, most of which have tillered. There are minor amounts of {Exocarpos strictus}, {Cassinia aculeata}, {Leptospermum glaucescens} (1), {L. scoparium} (2) and {Pultenea daphnoides} (1). The main herbs are {Austrodanthonia} ? {setacea} and {Microlaena stipoides}. The nine other herbs include {Caladenia carnea}, {Microtis} sp., {Cyrtostylis reniformis}, {Aira caryophyllea}, {Galium australe} and {Oxalis perennans}."
