Occurrence remarks Tree to 8 m; several large trunks & many smaller new stems. Bark more or less fissured, greyish brown. Branches mostly spreading. Current seasons branches orangish-yellow, more or less shiny. Older branches greyish orange. Leaves shiny green above, lower surface slightly glaucous. Catkins with bright yellow pleasantly fragrant flowers. Only one male tree noted with a female growing 10 m downstream. Less than 10 plants of this species seen along river between Hill Street & Bala Street (1.7 km). MEL 2024164 [Treated for Insect Damage 29 April 2021]
