Habitat |
Supplied as "About 9 m up (east) from the bottom of the final water slide of Bullscrub Creek. The bottom is the local base of the granite Mt Munro-Big Hill massif. The stream turns there at c. 90 degrees to the north and, except during freshes, soon disappears into the alluvium of the Bull Scrub. The water slide is c. 10 m wide and the site, at 3 m S of its centre, slopes to the nor'west at c. 10 degrees. It is inundated only after heavy rain. Nothing grows here with the Buellia. Eucalyptus globulus ssp globulus - thinned by fires including the latest of 24.X.2006 - are a sparse dominant. Allocasuarina verticillata are the main understorey and lower Kunzea ambigua the minor one. A sapling of Eucalyptus nitida is as tall as the A. verticillata. Nothing overhangs the site." |
