Occurrence remarks Naturalised tree to 6 m high. Trunks grey, smooth with horizontal bands and raised lenticels. Leaves emerging, mid green and hairless above, green to brown with varying degrees of hairiness (hairs white) below, margins toothed with glands obvious on teeth particularly when young. Sepals 5, green, bent back along pedicel when flower opens. Petals 5 (less often 6), white. Stamens numerous with white filaments and yellow anthers. Stigma pale yellow, style green, ovary green. Collection made near where early fruiting plants of this species were collected on 15 October 2006, that collection being J.R.Hosking 2782
