Occurrence remarks | Scrambling, climbing tendrillate vine. Stems green, slightly ridged. Leaves variously lobed, slightly scabrous, glandular. Tendrils leaf-opposed, branched. Inflorescences axillary with a single large subsessile female flower with bright yellow corolla c. 4 cm diameter. Male flowers in a terminal cluster on a peduncle c. 4 cm long. Fruit cylindrical c. 8 cm long, currently green. All fruit heavily infested with late instar large fruit fly larvae (probably Dacus axanus). This specimen has been treated with ethanol for quarantine purposes. Vine |
