Occurrence remarks Prostrate herb with kidney shaped leaves arising in clusters from a stout central taproot. Reddish stolons radiating from main plant to other leaf clusters which develop fibrous roots at base. Petioles c. 15cm long, purplish and lax so leaf blades tend to lie flat on ground. Inflorescences inconspicuous reddish brown umbels at ground level. Widespread throughout Hopevale township. Local resident reported using as remedy for arthritis and referred to it as "gotu kola".
